IELTS - Exam Preparation
To help you to get the IELTS score you need
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a very popular exam, taken by people who want to work or study in an English-speaking country or go to a UK university. IELTS exams can be taken every month in the UK; enrolment is approximately seven weeks before the examination date.
The objectives of this course are for students to receive knowledge of grammar, skills, pronunciation, functional language and exam skills in preparation for the IELTS examination. Students will need 6.0 or 6.5 for an undergraduate or postgraduate course and the aim is to prepare students so that they can achieve this overall IELTS score.
By the end of the course, students will have a complete understanding of the IELTS examination and what to expect on examination day. A wide range of study methods will be used to help students get their best score. Academic vocabulary will be improved, and students will be more able to understand articles and write organised essays to help them on the exam day.

- Vocabulary including phrasal verbs
- Speaking, reading, writing, listening
- Practice tests
- Examination preparation using past exam papers

The IELTS English course is open to students from intermediate to proficiency levels. Studetns don't need to study IELTS before taking IELTS at BSMI. We only accept students aged 16 or over for this course.

Lessons run mornings and afternoons. Courses are either 15, 20 or 25 hours per week. Lessons are three, four or five hours per day in the morning or in the afternoon. Maximum class size for all lessons is 16 students. There is a registration fee of £60 and a coursebook fee of £40. The price of the exam is £150
